A person of Asian appearance, dropped his wallet and a good Samaritan returned it to him.

"Because you are so honest and returned my wallet, please take this advice."

The Asian gentleman, then began to warn the Samaritan. "Do not go into the city on such a day, because a bomb or other terrorist action is to effect the city".

This story began circulating within day's of the World Trade Centre massacre in New York, I had heard this story four or five times in just a matter of hours, even being told the story from a concerned relative.

This is a typical Urban Legend, don't fall for it.  This type of story (Warning) only adds to the panic and uncertainty.  Don't help the terrorist, by adding to the fear.

Urban Terror
Monkey Man
Delhi. India

The Appearance of a monkey type creature spread fear through out this highly populated city.  people were too afraid to leave the safety of their homes at night.

The police had report after report, of a monkey man running amok. They increased patrols but the reports kept coming in for another two weeks.

Could a being - half man half monkey be running around the streets of Delhi ?

'All of a sudden, a grown up wolf came out from one of the holes... This animal was followed by another one of the same size and kind. The second one was followed by a third, closely followed by two cubs one after the other...
'Close after the cubs came the ghost [in this case a hideous looking being of Indian folklore] hand, foot and body like a human being; but the head was a big ball of something covering the shoulders and the upper portion, leaving only a sharp contour of the face visible. Close at its heels there came another awful creature like the first but smaller in size. Their eyes were bright and piercing, unlike human eyes.

The above excerpt is from the diary of Rev J. A. L. Singh, a missionary in Bengal in the 1920's.  It describes the discovery of two feral children - little girls who had been reared in the wild by wolves.

Onions to protect and cure:

To cure toothache, place a onion in a piece of cloth and wrap the cloth around your arm opposite the side of the tooth that ached.

Old wives used to place a onion in the pocket of children as they went to school - a shallot - to ward off illness.

Onions are said to be able to capture germs - thus purifying the air.
